Dress Rehearsal Basic Information









They are to come prepared with their tights and all costumes, headpieces, and shoes needs. Be responsible and check twice
before you come and before you leave. Pack headpieces nicely in Ziplocs and puts names in shoes and on costumes tags.

The Do’s and Don’ts of Dress Rehearsal and Recital
DO have hair secured back, with no bangs in their face. You can wear your hair however you would like for rehearsal and recital,
but you cannot have it in your face.
DON’T chew gum at rehearsal or recital
DO wear makeup for the recital (wearing makeup at the rehearsal is optional) Make up on children of all ages allows for them
not to look washed out in the bright lights. Lipstick, some blush, mascara, and a neutral colored eye shadow are highly
suggested (stick to browns and greys, no electric blue eyeshadow)
DON’T leave your stuff laying everywhere, the SF Rec Department is not responsible for any lost or stolen items the day of the
show. Please double check that you have all shoes, costumes, tights, and accessories before you show up on both days and
before you leave.
DO feel free to take pictures or videos at rehearsal and recital. At rehearsal you can video tape and take pictures as much as
you want and from anywhere you want. At the recital you can only take pictures  from your seat. No videotaping. If you so you
will be asked to leave by one of the ushers.

Dressing Room Situation

Children must be there NO LATER than ________. We want to get the groups of dancers sorted by class and make sure
everyone is ready to go. Bring your child wearing their tights and the costume they perform in first already on. You are welcome
to hang out in the dressing area with your children to take pictures and help them get their finishing touches ready until
___________ when you will be asked to leave and take your seats.

If your child wants your specific help changing between numbers please be courteous and leave quietly in between dances, not
during dances.

          * Show 2 dancers may leave when they have finished their dances
